Nothing Beats a Minneapolis Summer Morning

Summer mornings have a different pace.

The coffee tastes a little better. The sidewalks are a little quieter. Flower buckets spill onto the sidewalks at the farmers market, patio umbrellas open one by one, and downtown feels like it's slowly stretching awake.

Before the crowds arrive, Minneapolis is yours.

Here's how we'd spend it.

8:00 AM

Breakfast at Hen House

Never start a great day hungry.

Pull up a chair, order another cup of coffee, and don't rush. Whether you're in the mood for pancakes, a skillet, avocado toast, or something fresh from the bakery, breakfast is better when there's nowhere else you need to be just yet.

The city will wait.

9:30 AM

Wander the Minneapolis Farmers Market

Just a few minutes away, the Minneapolis Farmers Market has been bringing local growers together with the community since 1876.

Pick up fresh flowers. Taste whatever fruit is in season. Buy the honey you didn't know you needed.

Even if you leave with nothing more than a bouquet under your arm, you'll be glad you stopped.

10:30 AM

Walk the River

Cross the Stone Arch Bridge, pause for a few photos, and let the Mississippi do what rivers do—slow you down.

With views of St. Anthony Falls, the downtown skyline, and Mill Ruins Park, it's one of those places that reminds you why Minneapolis is such an easy city to love.

Keep the Day Going

If the Twins are playing, you're only a short walk from Target Field.

Not headed to the game? Wander through the North Loop, duck into a local shop, find a sunny patio, or simply keep exploring. The best downtown days usually aren't overplanned—they just unfold.

A Day Well Spent

Some days don't need a big plan.

Just good coffee. Fresh flowers. A walk by the river. Maybe a baseball game. Definitely good company.

That's a Minneapolis summer.

If your day starts with breakfast at Hen House, we think you're off to a pretty great start.
